How To Uninstall ruby-jquery-rails On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-jquery-rails just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-jquery-rails

jQuery for Rails 3+Debian 9.0ruby4.2.1-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-jquery-rails

This will remove just the ruby-jquery-rails package itself.

Uninstall ruby-jquery-rails and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-jquery-rails

This will remove the ruby-jquery-rails package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-jquery-rails then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-jquery-rails

Or similarly, like this ruby-jquery-rails

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-jquery-rails
