How To Uninstall ruby-json On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-json just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-json

JSON library for RubyDebian 9.0ruby2.0.1+dfsg-3
sudo apt-get remove ruby-json

This will remove just the ruby-json package itself.

Uninstall ruby-json and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-json

This will remove the ruby-json package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-json then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-json

Or similarly, like this ruby-json

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-json
