How To Uninstall ruby-ldap On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-ldap just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-ldap

OpenLDAP library binding for RubyDebian 9.0ruby0.9.16-1+b7
sudo apt-get remove ruby-ldap

This will remove just the ruby-ldap package itself.

Uninstall ruby-ldap and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-ldap

This will remove the ruby-ldap package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-ldap then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-ldap

Or similarly, like this ruby-ldap

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-ldap
