How To Uninstall ruby-lockfile On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-lockfile just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-lockfile

create NFS-safe lockfilesDebian 9.0ruby2.1.3-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-lockfile

This will remove just the ruby-lockfile package itself.

Uninstall ruby-lockfile and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-lockfile

This will remove the ruby-lockfile package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-lockfile then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-lockfile

Or similarly, like this ruby-lockfile

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-lockfile
