How To Uninstall ruby-log4r On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-log4r just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-log4r

Logging library for RubyDebian 9.0ruby1.1.10-4
sudo apt-get remove ruby-log4r

This will remove just the ruby-log4r package itself.

Uninstall ruby-log4r and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-log4r

This will remove the ruby-log4r package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-log4r then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-log4r

Or similarly, like this ruby-log4r

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-log4r
