How To Uninstall ruby-lumberjack On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-lumberjack just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-lumberjack

Lumberjack is a logging implementation in RubyDebian 9.0ruby1.0.9-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-lumberjack

This will remove just the ruby-lumberjack package itself.

Uninstall ruby-lumberjack and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-lumberjack

This will remove the ruby-lumberjack package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-lumberjack then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-lumberjack

Or similarly, like this ruby-lumberjack

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-lumberjack
