How To Uninstall ruby-mapscript On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-mapscript just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-mapscript

MapServer library for RubyDebian 9.0ruby7.0.4-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-mapscript

This will remove just the ruby-mapscript package itself.

Uninstall ruby-mapscript and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-mapscript

This will remove the ruby-mapscript package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-mapscript then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-mapscript

Or similarly, like this ruby-mapscript

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-mapscript
