How To Uninstall ruby-maruku On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-maruku just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-maruku

Markdown-superset interpreter written in RubyDebian 9.0ruby0.7.2-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-maruku

This will remove just the ruby-maruku package itself.

Uninstall ruby-maruku and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-maruku

This will remove the ruby-maruku package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-maruku then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-maruku

Or similarly, like this ruby-maruku

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-maruku
