How To Uninstall ruby-memfs On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-memfs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-memfs

MemFs provides an in-memory fake file system that can be used for testsDebian 9.0ruby0.5.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-memfs

This will remove just the ruby-memfs package itself.

Uninstall ruby-memfs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-memfs

This will remove the ruby-memfs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-memfs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-memfs

Or similarly, like this ruby-memfs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-memfs
