How To Uninstall ruby-method-source On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-method-source just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-method-source

Retrieve the sourcecode for a method as a Ruby stringDebian 9.0ruby0.8.2-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-method-source

This will remove just the ruby-method-source package itself.

Uninstall ruby-method-source and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-method-source

This will remove the ruby-method-source package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-method-source then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-method-source

Or similarly, like this ruby-method-source

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-method-source
