How To Uninstall ruby-minitar On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-minitar just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-minitar

Provides POSIX tarchive management for RubyDebian 9.0ruby0.5.4-3.1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-minitar

This will remove just the ruby-minitar package itself.

Uninstall ruby-minitar and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-minitar

This will remove the ruby-minitar package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-minitar then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-minitar

Or similarly, like this ruby-minitar

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-minitar
