How To Uninstall ruby-mixlib-authentication On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-mixlib-authentication just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-mixlib-authentication

Simple Ruby mixin for creating a logger objectDebian 9.0ruby1.4.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-mixlib-authentication

This will remove just the ruby-mixlib-authentication package itself.

Uninstall ruby-mixlib-authentication and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-mixlib-authentication

This will remove the ruby-mixlib-authentication package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-mixlib-authentication then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-mixlib-authentication

Or similarly, like this ruby-mixlib-authentication

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-mixlib-authentication
