How To Uninstall ruby-mongo On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-mongo just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-mongo

Ruby driver for MongoDBDebian 9.0ruby2.4.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-mongo

This will remove just the ruby-mongo package itself.

Uninstall ruby-mongo and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-mongo

This will remove the ruby-mongo package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-mongo then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-mongo

Or similarly, like this ruby-mongo

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-mongo
