How To Uninstall ruby-notify On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-notify just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-notify

Desktop notification command on cross platformDebian 9.0ruby0.5.2-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-notify

This will remove just the ruby-notify package itself.

Uninstall ruby-notify and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-notify

This will remove the ruby-notify package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-notify then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-notify

Or similarly, like this ruby-notify

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-notify
