How To Uninstall ruby-octokit On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-octokit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-octokit

Ruby toolkit for working with the GitHub APIDebian 9.0ruby4.3.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-octokit

This will remove just the ruby-octokit package itself.

Uninstall ruby-octokit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-octokit

This will remove the ruby-octokit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-octokit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-octokit

Or similarly, like this ruby-octokit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-octokit
