How To Uninstall ruby-ole On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-ole just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-ole

Ruby library for read/write access for OLE compound documentsDebian 9.0ruby1.2.11.8-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-ole

This will remove just the ruby-ole package itself.

Uninstall ruby-ole and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-ole

This will remove the ruby-ole package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-ole then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-ole

Or similarly, like this ruby-ole

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-ole
