How To Uninstall ruby-org On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-org just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-org

Emacs org-mode parser for RubyDebian 9.0ruby0.9.12-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-org

This will remove just the ruby-org package itself.

Uninstall ruby-org and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-org

This will remove the ruby-org package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-org then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-org

Or similarly, like this ruby-org

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-org
