How To Uninstall ruby-pathname2 On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-pathname2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-pathname2

alternate implementation of the Pathname classDebian 9.0ruby1.8.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-pathname2

This will remove just the ruby-pathname2 package itself.

Uninstall ruby-pathname2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-pathname2

This will remove the ruby-pathname2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-pathname2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-pathname2

Or similarly, like this ruby-pathname2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-pathname2
