How To Uninstall ruby-phonon On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-phonon just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-phonon

Phonon bindings for the Ruby languageDebian 9.0ruby4:4.14.3-1+b3
sudo apt-get remove ruby-phonon

This will remove just the ruby-phonon package itself.

Uninstall ruby-phonon and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-phonon

This will remove the ruby-phonon package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-phonon then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-phonon

Or similarly, like this ruby-phonon

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-phonon
