How To Uninstall ruby-posix-spawn On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-posix-spawn just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-posix-spawn

Ruby Implementation of posix_spawn(2) for faster process spawningDebian 9.0ruby0.3.11-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-posix-spawn

This will remove just the ruby-posix-spawn package itself.

Uninstall ruby-posix-spawn and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-posix-spawn

This will remove the ruby-posix-spawn package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-posix-spawn then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-posix-spawn

Or similarly, like this ruby-posix-spawn

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-posix-spawn
