How To Uninstall ruby-pygments.rb On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-pygments.rb just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-pygments.rb

pygments wrapper for RubyDebian 9.0ruby0.6.3-2
sudo apt-get remove ruby-pygments.rb

This will remove just the ruby-pygments.rb package itself.

Uninstall ruby-pygments.rb and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-pygments.rb

This will remove the ruby-pygments.rb package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-pygments.rb then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-pygments.rb

Or similarly, like this ruby-pygments.rb

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-pygments.rb
