How To Uninstall ruby-rack-rewrite On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-rack-rewrite just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-rack-rewrite

rack middleware for enforcing rewrite rulesDebian 9.0ruby1.5.1-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-rack-rewrite

This will remove just the ruby-rack-rewrite package itself.

Uninstall ruby-rack-rewrite and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-rack-rewrite

This will remove the ruby-rack-rewrite package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-rack-rewrite then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-rack-rewrite

Or similarly, like this ruby-rack-rewrite

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-rack-rewrite
