How To Uninstall ruby-rack On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-rack just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-rack

modular Ruby webserver interfaceDebian 9.0ruby1.6.4-4
sudo apt-get remove ruby-rack

This will remove just the ruby-rack package itself.

Uninstall ruby-rack and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-rack

This will remove the ruby-rack package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-rack then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-rack

Or similarly, like this ruby-rack

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-rack
