How To Uninstall ruby-rbvmomi On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-rbvmomi just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-rbvmomi

Ruby interface to the VMware vSphere APIDebian 9.0ruby1.8.2-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-rbvmomi

This will remove just the ruby-rbvmomi package itself.

Uninstall ruby-rbvmomi and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-rbvmomi

This will remove the ruby-rbvmomi package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-rbvmomi then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-rbvmomi

Or similarly, like this ruby-rbvmomi

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-rbvmomi
