How To Uninstall ruby-rc4 On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-rc4 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-rc4

Ruby library implementing the RC4 algorithmDebian 9.0ruby0.1.5-3
sudo apt-get remove ruby-rc4

This will remove just the ruby-rc4 package itself.

Uninstall ruby-rc4 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-rc4

This will remove the ruby-rc4 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-rc4 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-rc4

Or similarly, like this ruby-rc4

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-rc4
