How To Uninstall ruby-ref On Debian 9

To uninstall ruby-ref just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ruby-ref

library implements weak, soft, and strong references in RubyDebian 9.0ruby2.0.0-1
sudo apt-get remove ruby-ref

This will remove just the ruby-ref package itself.

Uninstall ruby-ref and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ruby-ref

This will remove the ruby-ref package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ruby-ref then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ruby-ref

Or similarly, like this ruby-ref

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ruby-ref
