How To Uninstall velvetoptimiser On Debian 9

To uninstall velvetoptimiser just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just velvetoptimiser

automatically optimise Velvet do novo assembly parametersDebian 9.0science2.2.5-5
sudo apt-get remove velvetoptimiser

This will remove just the velvetoptimiser package itself.

Uninstall velvetoptimiser and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove velvetoptimiser

This will remove the velvetoptimiser package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for velvetoptimiser then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge velvetoptimiser

Or similarly, like this velvetoptimiser

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove velvetoptimiser
