How To Uninstall x11proto-xcmisc-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall x11proto-xcmisc-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just x11proto-xcmisc-dev

linuxX11 XC-Miscellaneous extension wire protocolx111.2.2-1
sudo apt-get remove x11proto-xcmisc-dev

This will remove just the x11proto-xcmisc-dev package itself.

Uninstall x11proto-xcmisc-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove x11proto-xcmisc-dev

This will remove the x11proto-xcmisc-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for x11proto-xcmisc-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge x11proto-xcmisc-dev

Or similarly, like this x11proto-xcmisc-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove x11proto-xcmisc-dev
