How To Uninstall xcal On Debian 9

To uninstall xcal just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xcal

a graphical calendar with memos and reminder alarmsDebian 9.0misc4.1-19+b2
sudo apt-get remove xcal

This will remove just the xcal package itself.

Uninstall xcal and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xcal

This will remove the xcal package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xcal then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xcal

Or similarly, like this xcal

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xcal
