How To Uninstall xdelta On Debian 9

To uninstall xdelta just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xdelta

linuxA diff utility which works with binary filesutils1.1.3-9.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove xdelta

This will remove just the xdelta package itself.

Uninstall xdelta and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xdelta

This will remove the xdelta package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xdelta then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xdelta

Or similarly, like this xdelta

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xdelta
