How To Uninstall xdg-user-dirs On Debian 9

To uninstall xdg-user-dirs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xdg-user-dirs

tool to manage well known user directoriesDebian 9.0utils0.15-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove xdg-user-dirs

This will remove just the xdg-user-dirs package itself.

Uninstall xdg-user-dirs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xdg-user-dirs

This will remove the xdg-user-dirs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xdg-user-dirs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xdg-user-dirs

Or similarly, like this xdg-user-dirs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xdg-user-dirs
