How To Uninstall xine-plugin On Debian 9

To uninstall xine-plugin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xine-plugin

linuxxine-based media player plugin for Mozilla browsersvideo1.0.2-4
sudo apt-get remove xine-plugin

This will remove just the xine-plugin package itself.

Uninstall xine-plugin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xine-plugin

This will remove the xine-plugin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xine-plugin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xine-plugin

Or similarly, like this xine-plugin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xine-plugin
