How To Uninstall xjed On Debian 9

To uninstall xjed just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xjed

editor for programmers (x11 version)Debian 9.0editors1:0.99.19-7+b1
sudo apt-get remove xjed

This will remove just the xjed package itself.

Uninstall xjed and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xjed

This will remove the xjed package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xjed then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xjed

Or similarly, like this xjed

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xjed
