How To Uninstall xmix On Debian 9

To uninstall xmix just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xmix

linuxX11-based interface to the Linux sound driver mixersound2.1-7+b1
sudo apt-get remove xmix

This will remove just the xmix package itself.

Uninstall xmix and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xmix

This will remove the xmix package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xmix then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xmix

Or similarly, like this xmix

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xmix
