How To Uninstall xotcl-shells On Debian 9

To uninstall xotcl-shells just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xotcl-shells

Extended Object Tcl (XOTcl)Debian 9.0utils1.6.8-3
sudo apt-get remove xotcl-shells

This will remove just the xotcl-shells package itself.

Uninstall xotcl-shells and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xotcl-shells

This will remove the xotcl-shells package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xotcl-shells then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xotcl-shells

Or similarly, like this xotcl-shells

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xotcl-shells
