How To Uninstall xringd On Debian 9

To uninstall xringd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xringd

linuxextended ring daemon - monitor phone rings and take actioncomm1.20-27+b1
sudo apt-get remove xringd

This will remove just the xringd package itself.

Uninstall xringd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xringd

This will remove the xringd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xringd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xringd

Or similarly, like this xringd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xringd
