How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev

linuxX.Org X server -- joystick input driver (development headers)libdevel1:1.6.3-1
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev

This will remove the xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-input-joystick-dev
