How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ast On Debian 9

To uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ast just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-video-ast

linuxX.Org X server -- ASpeed Technologies display driverx111.1.5-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-ast

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-video-ast package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ast and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-ast

This will remove the xserver-xorg-video-ast package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-video-ast then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-ast

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-video-ast

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-ast
