How To Uninstall xshogi On Debian 9

To uninstall xshogi just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xshogi

X11 frontend to gnushogiDebian 9.0games1.4.2-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove xshogi

This will remove just the xshogi package itself.

Uninstall xshogi and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xshogi

This will remove the xshogi package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xshogi then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xshogi

Or similarly, like this xshogi

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xshogi
