How To Uninstall xss-lock On Debian 9

To uninstall xss-lock just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xss-lock

invoke external screen lock in response to XScreenSaver eventsDebian 9.0x110.3.0-4
sudo apt-get remove xss-lock

This will remove just the xss-lock package itself.

Uninstall xss-lock and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xss-lock

This will remove the xss-lock package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xss-lock then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xss-lock

Or similarly, like this xss-lock

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xss-lock
