How To Uninstall xtrace On Debian 9

To uninstall xtrace just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xtrace

trace communication between X client and serverDebian 9.0x111.3.1-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove xtrace

This will remove just the xtrace package itself.

Uninstall xtrace and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xtrace

This will remove the xtrace package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xtrace then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xtrace

Or similarly, like this xtrace

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xtrace
