How To Uninstall agrep On Debian 9

To uninstall agrep just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just agrep

sudo apt-get remove agrep

This will remove just the agrep package itself.

Uninstall agrep and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove agrep

This will remove the agrep package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for agrep then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge agrep

Or similarly, like this agrep

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove agrep
