How To Uninstall faac On Debian 9

To uninstall faac just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just faac

AAC audio encoder (frontend)Debian 9.0non-free/sound1.28+cvs20151130-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove faac

This will remove just the faac package itself.

Uninstall faac and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove faac

This will remove the faac package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for faac then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge faac

Or similarly, like this faac

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove faac
