How To Uninstall firmware-bnx2x On Debian 9

To uninstall firmware-bnx2x just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firmware-bnx2x

Binary firmware for Broadcom NetXtreme II 10GbDebian 9.0non-free/kernel20161130-3
sudo apt-get remove firmware-bnx2x

This will remove just the firmware-bnx2x package itself.

Uninstall firmware-bnx2x and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firmware-bnx2x

This will remove the firmware-bnx2x package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firmware-bnx2x then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firmware-bnx2x

Or similarly, like this firmware-bnx2x

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firmware-bnx2x
