How To Uninstall firmware-brcm80211 On Debian 9

To uninstall firmware-brcm80211 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firmware-brcm80211

Binary firmware for Broadcom 802.11 wireless cardsDebian 9.0non-free/kernel20161130-3
sudo apt-get remove firmware-brcm80211

This will remove just the firmware-brcm80211 package itself.

Uninstall firmware-brcm80211 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firmware-brcm80211

This will remove the firmware-brcm80211 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firmware-brcm80211 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firmware-brcm80211

Or similarly, like this firmware-brcm80211

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firmware-brcm80211
