To uninstall firmware-misc-nonfree just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firmware-misc-nonfree

Binary firmware for various drivers in the Linux kernelDebian 9.0non-free/kernel20161130-3
sudo apt-get remove firmware-misc-nonfree

This will remove just the firmware-misc-nonfree package itself.

Uninstall firmware-misc-nonfree and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firmware-misc-nonfree

This will remove the firmware-misc-nonfree package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firmware-misc-nonfree then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firmware-misc-nonfree

Or similarly, like this firmware-misc-nonfree

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firmware-misc-nonfree
