How To Uninstall firmware-realtek On Debian 9

To uninstall firmware-realtek just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firmware-realtek

Binary firmware for Realtek wired/wifi/BT adaptersDebian 9.0non-free/kernel20161130-3
sudo apt-get remove firmware-realtek

This will remove just the firmware-realtek package itself.

Uninstall firmware-realtek and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firmware-realtek

This will remove the firmware-realtek package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firmware-realtek then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firmware-realtek

Or similarly, like this firmware-realtek

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firmware-realtek
