How To Uninstall firmware-samsung On Debian 9

To uninstall firmware-samsung just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firmware-samsung

Binary firmware for Samsung MFC video codecsDebian 9.0non-free/kernel20161130-3
sudo apt-get remove firmware-samsung

This will remove just the firmware-samsung package itself.

Uninstall firmware-samsung and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firmware-samsung

This will remove the firmware-samsung package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firmware-samsung then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firmware-samsung

Or similarly, like this firmware-samsung

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firmware-samsung
