How To Uninstall mpi-specs On Debian 9

To uninstall mpi-specs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpi-specs

MPI 1.1 and 2.0 Specifications of MPI ForumDebian 9.0non-free/doc20040719-3
sudo apt-get remove mpi-specs

This will remove just the mpi-specs package itself.

Uninstall mpi-specs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpi-specs

This will remove the mpi-specs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpi-specs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpi-specs

Or similarly, like this mpi-specs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpi-specs
