How To Uninstall nvidia-cg-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall nvidia-cg-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just nvidia-cg-dev

Cg Toolkit - GPU Shader Authoring Language (headers)Debian 9.0non-free/libdevel3.1.0013-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove nvidia-cg-dev

This will remove just the nvidia-cg-dev package itself.

Uninstall nvidia-cg-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nvidia-cg-dev

This will remove the nvidia-cg-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for nvidia-cg-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge nvidia-cg-dev

Or similarly, like this nvidia-cg-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nvidia-cg-dev
